Today we are exploring one of London’s most charming village 🏡, Hampstead ✨. Situated in the northern part of London and in close proximity to Hampstead Heath 🏞, this corner of London has some of the most expensive houses. Also known for its many charming streets, ✨ this affluent area retains something of a village feel and great for walking around. 🪴🌻 We love side-walks and this area has many! Personal favourties to look out for are Flask Walk, Mount Vernon, Judges’ Walk and Holly Mount 😍

We start our walk from Hampstead tube station 🚇 and find ourselves in the centre of the village. We walk down the High Street and turn left to Flask Walk, a charming side alley with cobblestone pavement, flower shop 💐, cafes ☕️ and antique shops 🕰. We go back to the main street before turning right to explore the residential side of the village.

In our walk-through, we pass some beautiful houses 🏘. The average property value in this area is £1,130,620 for a flat/apartment and £2,354,167 for houses (Foxton, 2020) 💷. Our walk also passes the National Trust’s Fenton House 🏠, a beautiful example of 1960s architecture and the finest house in Hampstead.

Further down our walk, we pass the Chalybeate Well in Well Walk 💦. “Chalybeate” means water with high iron content. In the mid 17th century, such water was considered good for the health.

We continue with our walk exploring more residential streets before finally finishing our walk at Hampstead Station 🚇.
