Hey everyone. Today I want to talk to teachers and tell you all my opinion, which is: don't join a MLM. Be anti-mlm. I think this message is important now more than ever because a lot of teachers are quitting and leaving the profession and being lured by the promise of MLM. As teachers we are trusted members of our community and we should do our best to uphold that and not be a part of multi-level marketing businesses, aka direct selling, social selling, network marketing, etc. In this video I will explain my thoughts on it and some of my experience relating to when I almost joined Rodan and Fields. I hope you enjoy the video and thank you very much for clicking onto my channel!

"The loss rate for MLMs is at least 99%. This means that less than one in 100 MLM participants make a clear profit, and at least 99 out of 100 participants actually lose money! In fact, classic no-product schemes are ten to one hundred times as likely to result in profits as are product-based pyramid schemes, or MLMs."

"Take nothing on its looks; take everything on evidence. There's no better rule."

"Rodan & Fields, LLC, known as Rodan + Fields or R+F, is an American manufacturer and multi-level marketing company specializing in skincare products. Katie Rodan and Kathy A. Fields, creators of Proactiv, started the Rodan + Fields brand in 2002 and sold it a year later."

"Business model: Rodan + Fields distributes via multi-level marketing,[8] which has been criticized by consumer advocates as akin to a pyramid scheme.[1][9] Consultants focus on social media, phone and in-person presentations to sell products and invite others to join their team.[10] The average 2015 annual income for a consultant was $3,182.[11]

Per the 2016 Income-Disclosure agreement, 90% of Rodan + Fields members earned less than $200 per month and 96% earned less than $500 per month.[12] In 2016, 125,348 (representing 44% of all recruits) recorded zero earnings and are thus no longer considered active.[12] Only 2% of active sellers make the annual minimum wage or higher.[1]"
