A very effective simple mixed media birthday card

Описание к видео A very effective simple mixed media birthday card

Hello again and thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video, apologies for the interruptions! I have been asked how to combine junk journaling or scrapbooking and card making and I hope this is the first of several ways I can show you can take the same materials and ideas in junk journaling and use them to make a very pretty very unique little card. This time I used a Syntego White Linen A4 cardstock cut down and scored to make a DL card base to start from. In order to bring the manilla-ish colour on to the white cardstock I used a stencil and some Frayed Burlap to stencil my cardbase - you could use your blending brush and ink directly on to the card if you don't have a stencil. I then used some of my old manilla folders to die cut a tag (at this point I should have distressed it with a little ink but I forgot!) and decorated it with bits and bobs - anything works - old serviettes, rags, dusters, etc - just whatever you have lying around - I have even used car shammies! Once the tag was finished I mounted it with a little foam tape to the card and added a stacked happy birthday sentiment (cut with a Gummiapan die) but this card would work for pretty much any occasion. I do hope you enjoyed the video, if you did could I please ask you to hit the like or thumbs up button and if you would like to see more videos then please remember to press the subscribe button, that way you wont miss out on all future videos I muddle my way through @tanyamccorry2132
