In a big boost to the BJP, a significant number of Royal Families have come out in support of PM Modi and the BJP. Over 30,000 Rajputs gathered for a protest sabha in Limbdi assembly constituency on May 1st, opposing anti-Rajput remarks by BJP candidate Parshottam Rupala, close to the prime minister. In response, BJP sent Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Bisahada village, part of the Satha-Chaurasi area, to address community concerns. Rajputs, upset over various issues, including the portrayal of ninth-century ruler Mihir Bhoj as a Gujjar leader, have turned against the saffron party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
