Bluefin Tuna in Cape Cod with Ajichi

Описание к видео Bluefin Tuna in Cape Cod with Ajichi

his isn't exactly "The Old Man & The Sea" kind of situation but, these young toons still do give you a nice workout.
Ajichi-san, Sean-"san" and myself had an awesome time with Captain Josh from Outermost Angling Charters.
We went 4 for 4 and probably had close to 10 boils and followers!
Ajichi-san, a fashion designer from Kyoto Japan hooked the first fish in the early morning when we saw a school of Half Beaks flying out of the water with tunas exploding on them! This is gonna be great! We know from experience that when tunas are keyed in on surface baits like Half Beaks or Flying Fish, you are almost guranteed a spectecular day of topwater, surface action fishing and that was exactly what happened!
Next up yours truly!
Again, out of nowhere a pod of Half Beaks erupt 70-80 yards from us, my finger was already on the trigger as i knew today is gonna be epic! "Coming through!" i yelled and fired the Moudivemaru an extra 10 yards ahead, before i could complete my first sweep "BOOM" fish on! Nice fatty with a really round belly. Fought it, tired it and on the lap for some quick shots and back into the abyss it went!
Ajichi-san was "ON" again when Half Beaks breached the surface with speeding torpedoes behind them.
After a short but intense fight, another lucky fish was spared and released back to where they belong.
Next up! Sean-"san"! I know you like to be called that! LOL! with a unique and unorthodox technique called Jigging...just kidding :)
Sean, caught a glimpse of what looked like an Arc shaped spot on Josh's monitor grabbed his trusty rod and reel and dropped his newly bought Shout Jig Width.
Jig, jig, jig, 60 feet, 60 feet, 60 feet...and nothing. After about 3 or 4 drops and as soon as i turned my head to see what the commotion is about, i saw Sean yanking and setting the s**t out of the hook! ZZZZZZzzzzzzz and he was tight!
Sean's fish was a nasty demon and constantly made shot bursts and stayed deep. The fish finally yielded and came up to the surface after a brief tug O war and was given a clean release in the water.
Kudos bud, "persistence breaks resistance!"
And that is our fruitful story for the day as we headed back to the ramp.
Ajichi-san and myself was supposed to fish till Thursday but mama nature said "NO" on Tuesday and Wednesday which is why i have the time to pen this short report and cut up the tuna for breakfast!
Wish us luck tomorrow!!
