Made in Walthamstow, directed by Xaymaca Awoyungbo, is a documentary about Walthamstow FC's kit collaboration with the William Morris Gallery.

In 2023, the William Morris Gallery, Walthamstow FC, Wood Street Walls and Admiral Sportswear teamed up to create the first football kit collaboration between a museum and a football club.

The 2023-25 season kit takes inspiration from William Morris, the world famous Victorian designer who grew up in Walthamstow, and his company's Yare design.

The result was a beautiful kit that went on sale to fund the Walthamstow FC's dream of creating a women's football team.

The story, which featured in The Guardian, BBC and Time Out, inspired local film director Xaymaca Awoyungbo.

So, over the course of six months he set out to interview everyone involved from the director of the William Morris Gallery Hadrian Garrard to the Labour (Co-op) MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy.

The 20 minute film explores the history of replica football kits, the relevance of William Morris and the power of Walthamstow's community.

You may think you're just watching a film but really it's a love letter to Walthamstow.
