“Train, Train” is the eight track and second single released from the American Southern rocker band Blackfoot’s third studio album, ’Strikes’ (1979). Blackfoot’s song would go on to reach No. 38 on the Billboard (‪@Billboard‬) Hot 100 chart.

"Train, Train" was originally recorded in 1971 by Rick Medlocke's grandfather Shorty Medlocke and his daughter, as Shorty Medlock & Mickey with the Fla. Plow Hand. Fun fact: the song was covered by country singer Dolly Parton (‪@DollyParton‬) on her album ‘The Grass Is Blue’ (1999), and by metal band Warrant (‪@WarrantOfficial‬) on their album ‘Cherry Pie’ (1990).

’Strikes’ peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified Platinum in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America® (@RIAA_awards).

Blackfoot (‪@OfficialBlackfootBand‬) is an American Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1970. They had a number of successful albums during the 1970s and early 1980s.
