C-3PO, or Golden Robot as he is more prominently referred to on the box, was first produced by Ben Cooper for Halloween of 1977. That year would be the first of many for Ben Cooper To produced costumes based on characters from The Star Wars movies. In addition to C-3PO, that year saw costumes of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Stormtrooper, Chewbacca, Tusken Raider, Princess Leia & R2D2. Star Wars characters would become a staple of Ben Coopers Halloween offerings. In many cases the same designs were used each year. New characters costumes would be released with the introduction of new films in the franchise and the box art would change to reflect the current movie.

This video, although perfectly suitable for children, is not intended for current children. It is meant for adults who were children when the costume originated.
