I was originally going to call this video ‘hardcore pawn’, because I’ve been playing the **** out of Dragon’s Dogma 2… But a pawn fawning over you makes a lot more sense. Honestly, like everyone else, I don’t think I thought Dragon’s Dogma would get a sequel, but here we are – and it’s amazing! It just makes me smile whenever I play it.

So, naturally, I wanted to make an ASMR roleplay of it, but I didn’t want to just do another Elf or Human (not that there’s anything wrong with that; Elves are my bread and butter). So, I ended putting together this passable/goofy (?) Beastren mask, and decided that your ever doting companion would be from Bakbattahl. So! As you relax beside a campfire, arisen, let your pawn pamper you with face cleaning, some scrag of beast cooking (I was going to include steak cooking cinematics, but decided I’d save vegetarians and vegans alike the pain), and gentle humming to help lull you into a much-deserved sleep. 🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
