Sip on Sunshine with this Easy, Homemade Golden Spice Latte

There is nothing I love more than indulging in a warm, spiced latte on a cold day. Though I love my coffee, I keep this one in regular rotation. It's a wonderful blend of ginger and spices for a creamy, anti-inflammatory, non-caffeinated drink that supports your immune health during cold and flu season. Enjoy!

FULL RECIPE: Serves 1-2
1/2 inch of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups of milk of choice (this recipe uses unsweetened almond milk)
1/4 tsp of turmeric
Pinch of freshly ground pepper (approx. 1/8 tsp)
Pinch of cinnamon (approx. 1/8 tsp), plus more for garnish
2-3 cardamom pods smashed
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp raw honey (optional)

Add 2 cups of milk to a small pot
Add ginger slices, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom pods, vanilla
Whisk so all ingredients are nicely mixed
Once it comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes
Strain and pour into a cup being careful not to burn yourself!
Optional: Stir in honey once it has cooled, froth, garnish with pinch of cinnamon
