The YO! Fest is the annual youth festival organised by the European Youth Forum outside
symbolic places of the European Institutions. Its name comes from the YO!Mag (Youth Opinion), which is the magazine of the platform of youth organisations in Europe since 1980.
The YO!Fest is a political festival with debates, workshops and music, which mobilises youth
organisations and other civil society partners, as well as thousands of people for a cause
concerning young people in Europe.
In 2010 the YO!Fest asked the European Union to set up a structured dialogue with youth. In 2011 it celebrated young volunteers and called for a European Charters on the Rights of Volunteers (II Youth Convention on Volunteers). In 2012 the festival pushed for the endorsement of the Institutions of a European Charter for Quality Internships and Apprenticeships (Intern Action Day).
