This is the final of three solo improvisations from the 2023 Interludes filming session and displays Peter’s longtime prowess with a variety of extended techniques, combined in a highly personal style which has been developed for over two decades.


Peter Evans is a New York City based composer, trumpet player, bandleader, and educator. Peter’s highly prolific output ranging from solo improvisations to orchestral collaborations has been celebrated globally over the last two decades, and also led to a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2022. For interludes, he collaborated with Gayageum player Doyeon Kim, as well as several solo improvisations.
