Goalie Evolution Academy - Be Still Drill

Описание к видео Goalie Evolution Academy - Be Still Drill

Goalie Evolution Academy is a series of instructional videos developed by Trevor Tierney and Ryan LaPlante to help simplify the lacrosse goaltending position for players and coaches. In just the past several years, many goalies who have attended the GEA in person have gone on to play college lacrosse at the DI, DII, DIII, and MCLA levels.

Trevor is the first goalie in the history of the game to have won a DI NCAA Championship (Princeton University 2001), a ILF World Championship (Team USA 2002), and a MLL Professional Championship (Baltimore Bayhawks 2005) and has coached the game at youth, high school, college, and professional levels for over a decade. Trevor was also a NCAA DI First Team All-American and was Goaltender of the Year in 2001 and All-World Goaltender for Team USA in 2002. Ryan won a DI NCAA Championship for the University of Denver in 2015 and has been coaching goalies at all levels for several years.

These videos contain all the skills and drills that Trevor learned from all the great goalies that he grew up around with his father, Coach Bill Tierney. Trevor then passed these along to Ryan, who is now sharing them with future generations of goalies.

The keys to being a consistent goalie are learning to have great stickwork, a good stance, being in good position, stepping laterally to the ball, and learning how to react to the ball effectively. These videos will show you how to do all these things well to become a consistently great goalie, game in and game out.

Welcome to the evolution!
