Searching for good snow at Alta Ski Area after extreme winds blew all the powder away!

After an 84" storm, and the canyon being closed Sunday, I expected to find an absolute powder fest Monday at Alta Ski Area. But high winds up to 110mph in the canyon blew the powder away! Many areas were wind blasted down to the underlying ice crust and rock. So the challenge was to find out WHERE the wind blown snow had been deposited. In this video I spend several minutes "searching" for some decent snow to ski on a wind blown steep area off the High Traverse. At about 2:20 I decided to follow the wind, which proved to be a good idea. I finally found some very nice skiing on the north facing sides of some of the runs off the High T that were guarded by trees. The run I did in this video was Jitter Bug. Glad I kept searching and trying to find decent snow instead of just skiing down wind-blown crust and ice. If you want to skip the search you can go to 3:30 for the reward.
