Players are always on the lookout for an upgrade in tone from either pickups, amp, pedals, speakers or all the above. What is important is not to look at the individual elements so much, but how they all contribute to create great tone.

In my situation I need a rig that sounds good, but is also practical to transport and that can deliver many different sounds for various genres of music. With my current rig I can play any type of gig without having to make any changes to the equipment list.

Also, by putting this rig together on somewhat of a budget, it also highlights the fact that you can get great results without having to re-mortgage your house!

I hope you enjoy my budget powerhouse guitar rig... oh and please excuse the bum notes. I lost my way a few times.

Pedals - AMT "Japanese Girl" wah, Mooer "Ninety Orange" phaser, Donner "Tutti Love" chorus, 2 x Donner "Boost Killer" boosts, Donner "Yellow Fall" delay, Biyang Tri Reverb.

Pedal Board - Pedaltrain nano (with DIY extensions), powered by Pedaltrain Volto.

Amplifier - Quilter Tone Block 200 with Kustom "Defender" 1x12 cab.
