This is Liquasil's SWT Primer undergoing a submersion test.

SWT stands for "Surface & Wet Tolerant."

It can be applied directly to wet and rusted surfaces.

In this test, we apply the primer to a wet and rusted steel plate and immediately soak the product with water and immerse one end in water and leave it to cure for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, it has cured and apart from some slight discolouration where it was immersed in water, there is no adverse affect on the primer.

Adherence is excellent and will provide many years of protection against rust, as soon as it's applied.

Over coating time with our silicone polymers is unlimited - you could go back after a year and still over coat it.

We use this as part of our metal gutter lining system and as a component for our cut edge corrosion system.

Because it's wet and rust tolerant, considerable cost and time savings can be made on preparation and labour.
