I'm seriously impressed with the Yamaha Stage Custom- I think it looks and sounds way more expensive than it is. The birch shells give it loads of punch and clarity, and the Deep Blue Sunburst lacquer finish looks stunning.

The 6-ply Birch shells tune up great, the tom mounts are excellent, and it’s super gig and studio friendly. Just swap out the stock heads and you’ve got a proper pro-level kit.

Everything’s recorded with my Earthworks DK7 drum mic kit, straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface, with just a bit of light EQ and compression.
