The presentation took place on tour in Bangalore and was shown at the end of the BBC Sports Review of 1981 programme, broadcast on BBC One on Wed. 9th Dec 1981 (21:30 - 22:50).
With runners-up Steve Davis (2nd), Sebastian Coe (3rd) and special guest Sir Douglas Bader watching from the London studio, former England captain Mike Brearley presents winner Ian Botham with the coveted trophy, standing alongside his teammates including Geoff Boycott, Graham Gooch, Mike Gatting, Derek Underwood, Bob Taylor, John Emburey, Graham Dilley and tour skipper Keith Fletcher.
The programme end credits and theme tune play over the last part of the ensuing celebration.
