When upgrading other suspension components or just driving an old MK6 GTI, your subframe can start to make noises. The type of noises that make is sound like your on old Iron Sides with unwanted creaking and clunking. There are fixes for this including retightening the bolts to adding factory shims under the subframe bolts.

Thankfully, there's an even better option: a subframe locking collar kit. Not only does this prevent subframe clunk, the collars lock down the subframe for less movement during turns to create sharper turn in and better handling.
