What can roundtables bring to a business?

Have you ever thought much about the significance of King Arthur's round table?

If legend is to be believed, the round table existed so there was no head of the table. King Arthur was one with his knights.

Imagine this scenario in businesses today. It overwrites any top down management approach to instead favour collaboration. There is no one person in charge, and everyone can contribute.

I see this as conscious business. It shows that everyone's strengths can be valued. Everyone can have a voice.

Of course, there already is a meeting type named a rountable which encorages collaboration on equal terms, but how many companies use this?
