Italia Independent and Swarovski, the premium brand for the finest crystal elements, come together for a collection of precious eyeglasses intended for a sophisticated, discerning public looking for an exclusive, special, unique product.
This partnership has given rise to three models of sunglasses belonging to the I-LUX family, one of the latest and most important creations in the Italia Independent Autumn/Winter 2014–15 collection.
The chosen models all have distinctive velvet-effect frame fronts, one of the most popular innovations in Italia Independent eyewear, which was recently honoured with a prestigious recognition by MIT Review Italy. There are two unisex models, I-I’s best-selling 090 and the 0903, which are joined by the 0904, a model designed for women. The arms of all these glasses have yet another distinctive feature to emphasise their value: the special Craquelé finish, a technique which started off in home design and which gives the surface an unusual “leather” effect.
The velvet-effect fronts are decorated with the latest and most brilliant Swarovski crystal, the result of the Austrian company’s constant commitment to research – the XIRIUS 1088, whose properties make it the new benchmark for the sector. This new-generation crystal is named after Sirius, the brightest star in the firmament, and introduces new levels of brightness, aesthetic excellence and durability, raising the value of the crystal chaton to standards previously only associated with diamonds and high-end jewellery. Each crystal is applied onto the front frames manually through a heat procedure.
