The City is in its fifth generation in India as the model has become an icon in the Indian market as nothing come close to it for reputation. The design theme of the new City is inspired by the Civic and other models of Honda as the company has increased dimensions thus making City the longest and widest car in its class.

The 9-array LED headlamps along with BMW 3-Series inspired tail lamps and Katana blade-like shoulder lines give a character for the City. The interior is completely different and modern as the company improved quality a lot compared to the earlier model. Honda has packed the City with tons of features like lane-watch camera, Alexa voice features, Honda Connect, reverse camera with three different angles, leather seats and more.

In India, Honda is offering one petrol and one diesel engine. The petrol engine is a newly developed 1.5 L i-VTEC unit with DOHC as it produces 121 PS and 145 Nm while the diesel engine is the same as earlier model but updated to BS6 norms as it puts out 100 hp and 200 Nm. The petrol engine gets manual and 7-step CVT while diesel-only come with a manual option. Honda City price starts at Rs. 11.16 lakh (Ex-Showroom)
