In this video I will be doing a product review and setup of a Raspberry Pi Camera module for Raspberry Pi 3 b+, Pi 3b, Pi 3, Pi 2b+, and Pi Zero. The camera module expands the functionality of the Raspberry Pi. This module is great in raspberry pi projects for beginners!

The video will go over the camera module itself, as well as installing it in a raspberry pi 3 b+. I will cover how to change the cable out to work in a raspberry pi zero so that it can be used in multiple different raspberry pi projects.

Commands Used:

Update:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade


Configure Camera Port:
sudo raspi-config

Take picture:
raspistill -o image1.jpg -t 4000


Capture Video:
raspivid -o video1.h264 -t 50000


Install VLC:
sudo apt-get install vlc

Stream Video over HTTP using port 9001*:
raspivid -o - -t 0 -hf -w 800 -h 400 -fps 24 |cvlc -vvv stream:///dev/stdin --sout '#standard{access=http,mux=ts,dst=:9001}' :demux=h264


*If you need to vertically flip the video, add -vf
