Making A Fly Cutter For The Milling Machine | Heat Treatment And Tool holder

G'day everyone,

Today I will be making a new fly cutter for the mill. A fly cutter is a great beginner project for anyone who buys a mill. They make use of lathe tool holders and they are great at facing large pieces of metal. They are a great home made tool and they are a very easy tool to to get a good cut with.

I originally made on when I first bought the mill, however I made a few mistakes when machining it, and today I would like to address them, so you hopefully don't make my mistakes.

I will also need to make a replacement TCMT carbide insert tool holder to replace the broken one in the current fly cutter. I will be doing some basic heat treatment (quenching and normalizing) to some chrome vanadium tool holder too.
