In this video, I made a trench mace/club out of a table leg, a pipe, and some lag bolts using a cheap lathe, and some power tools. It is inspired by a design I saw on an Etsy shop. (Link below). I liked this design because it requires no actual metalworking or forging, but it is still a real weapon that could do damage. I don't have a forge . . . yet, and I don't have a welder . . . yet. I will create another video where I use this thing, probably against a melon of some kind. Watch out Watermelon! I'm coming for you. And your brother the Cantaloupe too. Your days are numbered.

I used a lathe, a Ryobi cordless cut-off tool to cut the metal, a drill press to drill the holes in the pipe, and "imagination".

Apparently, weapons similar to this were used in WWI during trench warfare. Many soldiers were not happy with their close combat weapons or didn't have them, so they made them at home using tools and materials available.
