The Avicraft RC Panic team put on a comedy show in 2001 at the Model show at Sandown Park Racecourse.

For those who don't know, the "Panic" is an RC model biplane manufactured by Avicraft, and an entire model flying team put on shows all over the place with these models.

In this segment of the Model Airshow, the Panic Team from Avicraft had some extremely unusual flying methods for the Panic.

First of all, we have Rob Newman flying a 2 part model that comes apart on take off leaving him flying just the Biplane wing... This would seem physically impossible without any yaw or pitch controls...

Secondly we then see Rob Newman flying a Panic, backwards, using the engine and prop in a pusher setup and using the elevators as canards.

You can hear the commentary in the background making out the model was just repaired, and hoping that the "glue had dried" nudge nudge...

Such a shame it was filmed in such low resolution as this would have been so nice to see in HD.
