The Brvtalist is thrilled to premiere, “In the years of salt lands", a new track by Berlin-based producer and ygam label founder Ōtone. The track is part of a V/A compilation from the label titled, From Our Future Selves, which features 11 different artists such as Zagam, Nina Pixel, Diasiva, Forest People, cplt and many more. The 12 track project is the label’s first various artist compilation and it was put together with all proceeds going to support Friends of the Earth - an organization aimed at challenging the current model of economic and corporate globalization, while promoting solutions that help to create environmentally sustainable and socially just societies.

“In the years of salt lands” kicks off with cold industrial beats, accompanied by repetitive metallic friction creating an oppressing atmosphere. The second part of the track explores a more rhythmical aspect of techno with slight break beats thus delivering a nearly tribal effect.
