3 Most INSANE Automotive Flops Of All Time!

We'll explore the 3 most unbelievable car flops of all time! First up, we've got the Aptera 2E, a futuristic-looking electric car that seemed like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie. With its weird egg shape and three wheels, the Aptera 2E definitely turned heads, but not always in a good way. Despite its super-efficient design and eco-friendly features, this oddball vehicle couldn't get the funding it needed and ended up crashing before it even hit the roads.
Next on our list is the infamous Pontiac Aztek, a car so ugly it became a running joke in the car world. General Motors thought they had a winner with this "crossover" vehicle that was supposed to appeal to young, adventurous drivers. Instead, they created a boxy mess that looked like it had already been in an accident. The Aztek was packed with cool features like a built-in tent and air mattress, but its weird looks and high price tag scared away buyers. It sold so poorly that it helped bring down the entire Pontiac brand!
Last but not least, we've got the GM EV1, an electric car that was ahead of its time - maybe too far ahead. This sleek, futuristic-looking vehicle was the first mass-produced electric car from a major company. It had some cool tech and was super aerodynamic, but it also had some big problems. The batteries didn't last long enough, and GM only let people lease the cars instead of buying them. The real drama came when GM decided to take back all the EV1s and crush them, even though some people loved their cars and wanted to keep them. This led to protests and even a movie accusing GM of killing the electric car on purpose!
