Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture is one of the most common injuries in the knee joint. Surgical treatment of the torn ACL is performed using the knee arthroscopy technique - a minimally invasive procedure involving the insertion of a tiny camera and surgical instruments into the joint through small incisions. In the case of a complete old rupture, the surgeon replaces the damaged ligament with a graft. The anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction procedure allows for restoration of the knee stability required for sports activity and physical work. Thanks to the surgery we reduce the risk of meniscal tears and accelerated development of osteoarthritis in the knee.
