LANCE, the dramatic two-part ESPN documentary on Lance Armstrong, will be on M-Net (ch. 101) https://bit.ly/3g0br6D on Saturday, 25 July at 21:00. The second part of the documentary will be broadcast on Saturday, August 1 at 21:30, after the much-awaited Black Is King - Beyoncé’s visual album.

The sweeping “30 for 30” series puts the spotlight on Armstrong, still one of the most divisive figures in international sport, seven years after his dramatic doping confession on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Directed by Marina Zenovich (who has produced films on Robin Williams and Roman Polanski), LANCE explores Armstrong’s remarkable accomplishments and subsequent betrayals which led to his harrowing, and very public, fall from grace. Unlike other explorations of Armstrong’s deceit, LANCE is different in that it offers up a contemporary take on his past misdeeds.

As Armstrong tells Zenovich, he isn’t there to tell her the truth. “I’m going to tell you my truth,” he pointedly stresses.
