CaT Bobino interviews Dr. Claire Simeone, who is a Conservation Medicine Veterinarian with The Marine Mammal Center and NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service. Her work focuses on marine mammal stranding response, investigation of unusual mortality
events, and international capacity building. Dr. Simeone graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed an internship with the National Marine Mammal Foundation and SeaWorld in San Diego. She is part of the team developing the Marine Mammal Health Map, a tool designed to provide a centralized data reporting system to track marine mammal health.
