Superman (1978-2006) Retrospective

With the prospect of another Superman reboot on the horizon, I wanted to share what this iteration means to me and give each film an honest shake. Does Christopher Reeve as Superman still reign supreme, or is he a well-meaning nostalgic throwback?

At the sake of revealing some of my thoughts, this is a passion project of mine (I apologize for it being lengthy) as I adore this character and feel like too many are giving him the shaft on a whim. There's a reason that he continues to be a part of popular culture, and it's not because he was the first modern superhero.
