From the majestic City Palace in Udaipur, with its breathtaking views of Lake Pichola, to the legendary Mysore Palace, each palace tells a story of power, culture, and heritage.
Some of these palaces are an inspiration to modern architecture, like Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal, with its honeycomb-like Jharokhas which not only let the royal women to observe street life, but also see maintained cool temperature in the palace. Another structure that signifies great craftsmanship is the Amer Palace. This centuries-old palace stands tall on the top of the mountain range as the former capital of the Rajput era. These palaces were home to many Maharajas and Maharanis and some of them have been turned into luxury hotels, offering a closer glimpse into India's royal past.
One such palace is the Rambagh palace, one of the most expensive hotel stays in India, and the former residence of the rulers of Jaipur.
