Digitized, restored and remastered from VHS.
This is the instrumental intro for the 1988 VTO production "Dancing Angels". Actually, it was meant to be called "Dirty Dancing Angels" to cash in on the popular movie with Patrick Swayze but there was legal trouble, so the label went with the shorter title.

The original VHS only included a shorter version of this instrumental but the longer version appeared on a Videostar compilation.

The percussion loop that runs through the whole song sounds like it's a preset from a late 80s KORG FM synth. The Korg M1 came out in 1988 - so that would be possible - but it sounds more like the Wavestation. But that one actually came out too late - in 1990.

Thilo Rex later had an instrumental called "Beyond the Valley" on his album "The Dominoe Principle" that bears close resemblance to the Dancing Angels theme.

Between 1986 and 1988,
T.Rex Music in Hannover, Germany and another team
at a different studio (before 1986) produced high quality pop,
eurodisco and rock music for the movies of Teresa Orlowski’s VTO PICTURES.

For almost 20 years, I've been researching the music for the VTO music
and I had to include the short watermark as some kind of watermark
as I am still working hard on the possibility of an official release.

The songwriters, singers and producers involved are unknown
or prefer to remain secret to the public because of the movies,
which actually added to the mystery surrounding the songs.
They definitely were absolute studio pros and masters of their craft.

The musicians, singers and producers involved used the alias GALAXY.

Actually, some of the songs have been released on the 1987 official
MC/LP/CD "The Fire Inside - Songs for Teresa" - but many more
are still unavailable officially and only scattered all over the
VTO VHS tapes in intros, trailers, previews, clips etc.

Most of them being incomplete.

I’ve been in touch with many of the producers, singers and musicians involved,
but unfortunately, most of the master tapes don’t exist anymore and sadly,
some of the people involved - such as Thilo himself - have already passed away.

That’s why these song don’t classify as “unknown songs” and/or “unsolved”.
There is just no official release except for the VHS tapes of VTO Pictures.

That’s why I am researching, digitizing and re-constructing the songs
to curate and preserve them to keep the memory of their creators alive.
The music is much too good to be lost forever and the artists deserve it.
