"Josephine" comes from the album "Shamrock Diaries" released in 1985.
It is a very interesting bass line, with a lot of groove. The music is a mix of blues, funk, pop... The tuning was done by ear since it is slightly bellow D# G# C# F#.
I have seen other covers on Youtube but never with the right notes at the right time... Once again it is all about the details!
Even if you normally like to play Extreme Metal or Metal, I recommand you to always try to listen and play different styles of music. There is a lot of "groove" in Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Death Metal and even Black Metal. Many excellent thrash drummers, like Dave Lombardo or Igor Cavalera to name a few, are very influenced by salsa rythms and such.
Anyhow, I enjoyed recording this cover because it is an excellent song.
The main tip I could give on how to play it right is first of all, to feel the groove and second of, to know when you should "not" play... In other words the silents.

Enjoy!
