Cartoon Network - Coming Up Next Bumpers (Powerhouse Era)

Описание к видео Cartoon Network - Coming Up Next Bumpers (Powerhouse Era)

My first major video in a year, wow..

I once considered Cartoon Network as my favorite channel. Nowadays, it's just another channel that I mainly watch for Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. Yet I am given a few treats every now and then (Cartoon Planet, The Looney Tunes Show, etc.) The "Powerhouse" era, however, is definitely my favorite era of Cartoon Network.

This is one of the main reasons it was called the "Powerhouse" era, simply because many of these bumpers used Raymond Scott's well-known instrumental theme called Powerhouse, made popular by various Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts that used the theme for assembly lines. these created by Primal Screen and either featured the song or a rendition of it based on the event that took place. (such as the a chorus playing when the Next sign is sent to heaven, the song being used as elevator music, or even in a desert). These bumpers were very unique, as multiple bumpers came in different colors depending on what time the show aired or an event that occured. Yellow/light orange was used in the morning, Green was used around noon or during the afternoon, Purple (usually shown before Toonami or late at night) meant the cartoon that you were about to watch were action cartoons, blue, the one I saw the most, was used during the evening/night, usually after Toonami and dark blue/black was used at or past midnight.

Unfortunately as time passed, the Powerhouse music was removed from bumpers, presumably for licensing/copyright reasons. As a result, it was eventually phased out for the divisive "City" era.

I managed to dig up videos from most known places on YouTube and I want to do similar videos with other components of this era of Cartoon Network. If anyone can make this longer without using UK/LA bumpers or "camera-quality", I'll be impressed.
