Tall Ship Bark Europa trip to Antarctica January 13 to February 6, 2019

This is a 50 minute mixture of still photographs and video documenting the three week trip through the Drake Passage and to the Antarctica Peninsula.

The video starts with the ship experience and then transitions to the penguins, whales, seals, icebergs and glaciers of Antarctica. It will put you on the trip if you watch it from start to finish.
Bark Europa is 180 ft long, built in 1911 and has a steel hull. Aside from state of the art electronics, the experience is no different than what it would be like sailing to Antarctica in 1920. The crew is beyond amazing. No one had any concerns even with the 40-50 knots and 15 ft seas we encountered in the Drake passage (both ways). The trip of a lifetime. This video tries to put you there.
