A watermark can help you protect the integrity of your presentation. A watermark clearly identifies a presentation as yours. This can be especially important when many presentations are uploaded to the internet. A watermark can also be used to distinguish a draft of your presentation from the final presentation.

A watermark is a semi-transparent image that's visible in the background so that it can be seen, but light enough that your presentation is clearly visible. In this tutorial I'll teach you how to create watermarks and add them to your slides in Microsoft PowerPoint.

The first thing that I recommend doing is getting the logo file that you use as a watermark ready in an app like Photoshop. Next, place the logo file into PowerPoint using the slide master. The advantage to working on the slide master is that the changes you make to this slide will affect multiple slides so that you don't have to place the watermark on each and every one.
