MOVEMENT LIFESTYLE "THE SHOW" : "LA TIERRA" BY TAMARA LEVINSON-CAMPOS

"LA TIERRA" is a Murga inspired dance solo I performed and choreographed for the Movement Lifestyle end of the year 2013 showcase called "THE SHOW". The music was the prime inspiration for the number. Thanks to Gaby Kerpel and Balvina Ramos for creating/producing/singing/writing this powerful piece of music called "Pedazo de Tierra" off the Tira Torito album (found on ITunes). The number is a warrior piece. Based off of the murga (an argentine folk dance), It tells the story of a warrior who at all cost defends her land and beliefs by attacking the enemy with the only weapon at her disposal, her body and her presence. Thanks Movement Lifestyle for allowing me to showcase this dance from my country in all its beauty and of course, with a Tamara Twist... :)
