Meet Stephen Nedoroscik—aka “Pommel Horse Guy,” “Clark Kent,” and our newest bronze medalist in the 2024 Paris Olympics! 🤸‍♀️🥉 Not only did Stephen help secure the first team medal for US Men’s Gymnastics in 16 years, but he’s also defied the odds with not one, but two eye conditions.

Despite living with Strabismus and Coloboma, Stephen has soared to new heights. 🌟👀 Strabismus is a condition where one eye is misaligned with the other. This is commonly referred to as a "lazy eye" or a "cross eye." Coloboma is a rare birth defect where part of the eye is missing and the parts missing can range from the iris to the optic disk. Stephen is missing some of his iris, which has led him to have an increased sensitivity to light, on top of his Strabismus which has reduced his depth perception.

Strabismus and Coloboma might pose challenges, but Stephen’s incredible vision is more than what meets the eye—it's what he feels with his hands. 🙌 His perseverance and strength have led him to victories at NCAA Championships, U.S. National Championships, World Cups, a World Championship, and now the Olympics.
