Tarifa, Tajo de las Escobas and Bosque de Niebla

This video has subtitles providing extra information * One of my favourite treks which I have done many times with different alterations. The start is at the Área recreativa El Bujeo halfway between Algeciras and Tarifa. Via the Puerto de la Grulla we climb to the Tajo de las Escobas, with its 839 metres the highest point on the Northern side of the Strait of Gibraltar. This version of the trek guarantees amazing views throughout. On the way down we went via the Llanos del Juncal and the unique subtropical jungle of the Bosque de Niebla, the misty forest for which you need a special permit which you can get at [email protected].
