Birthday Cake for You & Your Dog I Homemade Dog Biscuits I Pumpkin Muffins I Low Sugar & All Natural

This week our beautiful Siberian husky girl turned 5! We adopted her when she was 8 months old. She is not only our emotional support animal, but also has been truly there for us during our most difficult and most happy times such as losing our family members to cancer, to us getting engaged to me currently losing my job due to COVID19. She constantly makes our lives better and we are so grateful to receive such unconditional love from her. This year, for the first time ever, we wanted to celebrate her birthday the traditional human way, so I baked a cake and some dog treats for her, all recipes are human grade and edible by both you and your furry friend. The pumpkin muffins are mainly intended for humans but are safe for dog consumption.

All these recipes are healthier options with no added processed sugar, chemicals and animal products. However all-purpose flour is okay to be consumed by dogs, your dog might have a sensitivity so you can replace the flour with what your pet is comfortable with. Also especially the saturated fat content is very high in the cake due to the heavy whipping cream, we only gave our dog 1 slice and a couple extra licks from the top. Please give the cake to your dog in moderation.  Our veterinarian suggested we feed her the cake spread out to 6-7 days.

DOG CAKE RECIPE:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened apple & apricot sauce 
- 1/2 cup milk
 Mix all ingredients, pour into mold (make sure to oil it and use parchment paper since there is no butter/oil in this recipe). Bake in a preheated oven until fully baked at 375. 

PEANUT BUTTER WHIPPED CREAM: 
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter powder (protein) 
Mix until desired cream consistency. 

DOG BISCUITS:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (1 cup extra for kneading the dough)
 - 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon (optional)
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter 
- 2 Eggs 
Mix all ingredients, knead the dough until it unsticks, you might need to add more flour. Once your dough is ready, get it to your desired thickness and cut the dough with the cookie cutters. Bake in the oven until golden brown at 375. 

LOW FAT & LOW SUGAR PUMPKIN MUFFINS: 
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1 Cup almond flour 
- 1/2 cup oat milk (or any milk of your choice) 
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup (you can adjust this) 
- Spices (I used cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger) 
Mix all ingredients and bake in the oven until fully baked at 375.
