Celebrating Rangers: Guardians of Nature in Banhine

This month on PeaceParks.TV we salute and thank the brave men and women protecting communities and nature in southern Africa. We caught up with Leticia Matlhombe in Banhine National Park to hear what inspires her to take on this important work.

"I had no idea what it meant to be a ranger. I didn’t have the slightest clue about the responsibilities in a conservation area, but today, I find myself working here as a ranger, and I feel very honoured to contribute to conserving biological diversity," says Leticia who also hopes to become an expert in this particular conservation area and to effect positive change within the park.
