During his guest appearance on July 31, 2009, Regis suggested he and Dave take their conversation atop the Sullivan Theater marquee after every taping. It didn't happen that night, but sometime later they engaged in chat there that lasted for 30 minutes.

All that was used were two snippets that aired after the closing credits on August 26 and October 9.
