Summary:
Sea Legs is a 1930 pre-Code comedy-romance about “Searchlight” Doyle, a lightweight boxing champion in the United States Navy who becomes unwittingly entangled in a plot to replace a wealthy slacker on active duty so the slacker can collect his inheritance. Sent to serve aboard a foreign fleet in an island republic, Doyle’s assumed identity leads to confusion, slapstick misunderstandings, and hearty naval hijinks. Along the way he falls for Adrienne, the beautiful daughter of the ship’s captain, and must prove both his courage and his sincerity as comic complications ripple through shipboard life.
