• Japan and Australia agree to increase joint military training. Eric Garcetti, the U.S. Ambassador to New Delhi reaffirmed the United States support for Tibetan people on Tuesday evening at the Tibet Festival held in the India’s capital. He said this support extends beyond cultural appreciation to a recognition of the core values embodied by Tibetan culture, such as peace, compassion, and cultural preservation. The Ambassador affirmed the commitment to defying efforts to erase Tibetan culture, language, and traditions, standing united to ensure their survival.
• New York governor's former aide accused of secretly working for China. Linda Sun, who worked for both Gov. Kathy Hochul and Gov. Andrew Cuomo was accused of secretly working for China. The indictment reveals detailed allegations in the Case of Linda Sun, former New York Governor's aide, charged as Chinese Communist Party Agent. The indictment accuses Sun of failing to disclose benefits from the Chinese government or the Chinese Communist Party.
• Shuttered bookstore in China reopens in Washington. A Chinese bookstore reopened in Washington on Sunday, six years after the Chinese government forced it to close its doors in Shanghai. JIfeng Bookstore is one of several independent bookstores that Beijing has forced to close in recent years.
