Rufus Wainwright plays his song "Poses" live in concert at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California on September 12, 2021. Poses originally appeared as the title track on Wainwright's second studio album in 2001. The song was inspired by his 6-month stay at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City and his struggles with addiction; in an interview with Rolling Stone, he described the song as him "facing the hard truth of my decadent behavior and realizing that I'm completely lost." Wainwright is on tour promoting his new album, Unfollow The Rules. Joining him onstage were Brian Green (guitar), Jacob Mann (piano/keyboards), and Alan Hampton (bass).
