Was Minecraft Dungeons a flop? When Dungeons launched, there was a lot of potentials. But when forced to purchase the game and then buy Minecraft Dungeons DLCs for good updates, it seems like a cash grab for Mojang, especially now with the Minecraft Dungeons Season Pass (really a Fortnite Battle Pass). Since launch, the active player base has declined 82%, leaving roughly two million active players for Minecraft Dungeons. Minecraft Dungeons lacks character development as there are no classes nor consequences for decisions, like with salvaging enchanted items. But what about the upcoming game Minecraft Legends? Will it fall into the same trap as Minecraft Dungeons? Or is the Dungeons decline fueled by a declining Minecraft?
