The story: I’m Amanda, and I’ve always put my family first. I grew up in a financially difficult situation, so I worked hard to build my career and save money. Over the years, I’ve helped my parents with their financial struggles by paying bills, covering groceries, and supporting my sister Emma with her college tuition. I didn’t mind because family is important to me.

Recently, Emma got engaged, and my parents asked if I could help pay for her wedding. When I asked how much they needed, the amount was shockingly high—way more than I had saved. I told them I couldn’t afford it, especially after all I had already contributed, but they got upset. My parents said that since I’m the only one with money, it’s my responsibility to help, and Emma accused me of being selfish for not supporting her "big day."
