Heart disease is one of the main causes of death in people with diabetes, and diabetes is one of the leading causes of kidney failure. The good news is that we now have better tools and strategies to keep your heart, blood vessels, and kidneys healthy while living with diabetes. These include lifestyle changes and medications that can significantly lower your risk of developing these complications — or slow their progression.

The panel includes two endocrinologists at the center of making new preventative therapies available, a renowned cardiologist and researcher who specializes in keeping people with diabetes healthy, and a person living with diabetes who has survived both a heart attack and diabetic kidney disease.
